The Roundup High School Panther official cross-country season came to a close after the MHSA State XC Championships in Kalispell on 10/21/23. The boys and girls teams showed up and gave all they could on the course. Times were quick and we could not be more proud of how the season ended.
This season we had many highlights that included season records, personal records, all runners being able to finish a race with no walking, all high schoolers and an 8th grader qualifying for state, and a new school record by James Main.
This season is also bittersweet as we will be saying goodbye to Deserae Toombs, our only senior. Deserae showed leadership, sportsmanship, and what it means to be a positive teammate. We are thankful she was on the team and beyond thrilled for what her future will hold.
Here are your RHS Panthers final times of the season:
Boys Team
James Main - 18:32
Jason Main - 18:55
Joey Grahm - 21:08
Luke Harper - 21:39
Kaelin Pisle - 23:18
Erik Goffena - 23:52
Caleb Larsen - 24:21
Robert Goffena - Alternate
Girls Team
Desi Toombs - 24:49
Ellie Goffena - 27:27
Rosabelle Harper - 28:16
We also want to give a big thanks to all the parents and family of the cross-country runners. We could not do what we do without your support.
Coach Alex Goffena and Coach Tayler Buich

On October 18th in the morning we will be conducting a fire drill at Roundup Elementary. This drill will be different than most as we are going to have the Roundup Volunteer Fire Department come to the building and do a building sweep. The drill is going to involve all parts of a regular fire call as the sheriff’s office will receive a call and sound the fire whistle for the fire department. When the drill is complete the Roundup Volunteers will host our yearly Fire Prevention Week throughout the day.
Roundup Panther Families, on October 26th and 27th Roundup Public Schools will be hosting the district Volleyball Tournament. As we developed the tournament bracket and scheduled the games we realized that we need to cancel the half day we have scheduled for October 26th. October 26th will be a no school day for students, along with October 27th. Thank you for understanding, and please mark your calendars to come support our Roundup Panthers during the tournament.
Senior Night Reminder!
We will be celebrating our football and cross country senior athletes at the football game Friday night vs. Huntley Project. Senior parents and escorts, please meet at the north end of the football field by 6:40 PM.
