BPA State Competitors

BPA State Leadership Conference: Last week, 18 students from Roundup High School’s Business Professionals of America Chapter attended the State Business Professionals of America Leadership Conference in Billings, MT along with over 1,200 other Montana students from over 80 Montana chapters. They participated in workshops, attended general sessions and competed in a variety of business and computer contests. 

National Qualifiers & Award Winners: Two students, Julianne Landgren, who earned 3rd Place in Graphic Design Promotion, and Erik Goffena who earned 3rd place in Database Applications, earned the right to compete in their events at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA, April 25-30th. National  Award Winners, Emily Coles and Braedan Bilden will travel to the conference to receive their National Ambassador Torch Award. Emily will serve as a Montana state voting delegate and Braedan will serve as an intern.

Top 10 Finishers & State Award Winners: Emalee Vickers placed 4th in Health Leadership Special Topics, Corbin Waite placed 6th in Device Configuration & Troubleshooting and Jessie Graham placed 7th in Personal Financial Management. These students barely missed national qualification. Braedan Bilden earned his Statesman Torch Award. Emily Coles stayed super busy fulfilling her duties as our State BPA President and was awarded a $1,000 Scholarship sponsored by Buchanan Family Foundation and Barbra Byrne. Other top 10 finishers include:Tyeson Gravenhof-8th place Advanced Interview, Josie Shaw-8th Place Fundamental Desktop Publishing, Corbin Waite-9th Place Computer Security, 3rd Place Information Technology Concepts, 10th Place Python Programming, and Lorien Godfrey-9th Place Management, Marketing and Human Resources Concepts, 5th Place Parliamentary Procedure Concepts

Fundraising: To raise funds to help support our national trip, our BPA National Team will be serving meals and other refreshments during the dates of the school play. Please come out and support our young actors Friday, March 31 and Saturday April 1 and come early to enjoy a meal and/or refreshments prior to the opening curtain!
